When visiting St Andrews, you could be suprised at what a small town it is, but this little place on the edge of Fife packs centuries of history into its compact area! Once an important place of pilgrimage with its mighty cathedral, and one of Britain's earliest seats of learning, St Andrews also witnessed turbulent religious battles in later centuries. As if this wasn't enough, St Andrews is of course also the home of golf.
