During the Second World War, many intelligent people were hired to work at Bletchley Park, decoding the secret messages encrypted by Enigma machines. What is less well known is that over 80% of the people at Bletchley Park were women. Not all of them were codebreakers, but women were working in all areas of operation. In the 1940s this was some very progressive hiring! These girls helped the war effort at the highest possible level and they were happy to stay quiet about their achievements for the rest of their lives.I would like to share with you a little about who they were and what they did at Bletchley Park.
