Playing at the West Coast Golf Club, you are presented with magnificent views of the Qiongzhou Strait, part of the South China Sea, with a backdrop of the Haikou City skyline, while walking between each hole. It is a challenging course because of the undulating terrain, but this creates an interesting and eye catching golf session for the player.West Coast Golf Club was completed in October, 2004. It was the first course in China to be designed by American consultants, Cynthia and Perry Dye. The total area is 1.4 sq km (2100 mu) and contains18 holes and a double-level driving range. The accommodation is 5 star, but more like a home than a hotel. It has saunas, restaurants a Pro Shop and a practice course.
