Making Victorian Christmas Stockings

Christmas Eve when children leave plates of cookies and glasses of milk out for Santa, they would never forget to hang their Christmas stocking by the chimney with care. Do you know why? In hopes that Saint Nickolas' would soon be there.Victorian Christmas Stockings are so beautiful, delicate and elegant. If you chose to have a Victorian Theme Christmas, having the stockings just hadd that much more beauty! Regardless, hanging Christmas stockings is always exciting and most families that celebrate Christmas have done this for generations.Long time ago, Christmas stockings use to be a child's main Christmas. Santa would usually place some fruit and nuts in the stockings, sometimes maybe a piece a candy or two. I remember elder people telling me that sometimes (if they were extra good) they would find a couple of pennies in the stocking as well. Sometimes, if Santa had enough room in his bag, there would also be a little toy sticking out of the top of the stocking. So Christmas stockings are pretty important.Oh, I am sorry you do not have chimney? That's okay, neither did I and I am not sure I ever had one. But I do know that no matter where I put my Christmas stocking Santa always found them. Today they have decorations that are sort of heavy that sits on your counters and they are made just to hold Christmas Stockings. So you see, you do not have to have a chimney to hang stockings, the most important thing is you have a Christmas stocking.

	Corn Casserole Recipe

Corn casserole is a rich creamy savory dish (also known as cornbread casserole.) Add this to compliment your main course meal for the holidays or anytime. This easy recipe is much like a pudding filled with corn, sour cream, eggs, butter, cheddar cheese and the cornbread muffin mix. I like to spice it up with onions and green chilies. My family lives too far away, but my husband comes from a large family. Our holiday gatherings house over twenty some people. Now with an additional member to the family, a baby boy, born on Oct. 14, 2009 to our niece. This family is really growing. Our niece is mentioned in my prenancy lens. When it is my turn to have the family over for one of the holidays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day or Easter, I like to add a more creative casserole dish than passing a bowl of corn around the table.
