Senate passed a bad health care bill The Senate passed a bad health care bill in the wee hours of the morning on Christmas Eve. It isn't the Christmas present we were all hoping for. The bill passed at 1 a.m. Christmas Eve morning. Why the rush? Why the secrecy? The Senate's health care bill gives omnipotence to Medicare and Medicaid agencies in determining what kind of care can be given and what price will be paid for care. The bill is loaded with 'pork' that lured many Senators to vote for it. Many Senators said they hadn't even had time to read the entire bill before the vote. Public opinion polls showed the American public opposes this bill, but the Senate didn't listen once again.
