A great epic movie is one that stays with you and grows on you. It is shot in a large scale with wide shots, 1000's of extras, sweeping character arcs and story lines that pull you in like the gravitational pull of the sun. They are memorable for all these reasons and more, expressly for their fight for love and liberty. Because these films are all well over 2 hours, many do not like to watch them.
