An artist friend showed me the book she had just acquired of his Art Forms in Nature. My first impression was Wow! I started to think how awesome these illustrations would look folded into paper medallions. Since then I read what I could find in books and the web and found that Haeckel was a famous 19th century personality. He was able to work with the two things I liked his entire life, art and the natural world. He believed both were related subjects.
