The cheese rolling is a legendary UK event known worldwide for being one of the most dangerous sports in the world. One has to wonder why you'd risk your neck in order to roll a cheese down a hill, but I guess it's like running with the bulls - The answer is always something like 'Well, because I wanted to try it. It sounded like fun.'Despite obvious danger, or perhaps because of it, the event gains in popularity each year. Strangely, it's the popularity of the event (not the regular accidents) which is proving to be the biggest threat to its success. The cheese rolling event may soon cease to be.
